About Us
over 200 years of memories
On March 16, 1916 several residents of the Village of Danville and Shipton County were granted a charter to acquire, control, maintain and manage several cemeteries in the area. These residents from all walks of life bearing the names MacLeay, McDonald, Boutelle, Cleveland, Riddle, MacCracken, Barnard, Adams, Richey and Brown had been concerned about the deteriorating state of some of the local cemeteries. This charter was granted in the name of The Danville Protestant Cemetery Company, having based the name on the first of the cemeteries which were taken over, The Danville Protestant Cemetery.
